Employers Face Heat And Wildfire Smoke Rules
(Salem, OR) -- The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division is reminding employers there are requirements to keep workers safe from hot temperatures and smoke-filled air. Under Oregon's heat illness prevention rule, employers must implement protections, including adequate water, rest, and shade starting at 80 degrees. Oregon's wildfire smoke rule applies to employers whose employees are or will be exposed to hazardous levels of wildfire smoke.
