Oregon Wants Tighter Robocall Controls
(Salem, OR) -- Oregon is joining a 50-state coalition to ask the FCC to tighten controls on robocalls. They're asking the Trump Administration to strengthen and enforce the Know Your Customer rules, which require phone companies to verify their customers and what kind of business they conduct. It's supposed to allow phone companies to cut off illegal callers. Last year, Americans received almost 30 billion scam robocalls and texts, losing nearly two-billion dollars.
