(Portland, OR) -- Firefighters are working to increase containment on several wildfires burning across Oregon ahead of hot temperatures and high winds this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued fire weather watches starting Saturday for most areas east of the Cascades. Gusty winds could cause fires to spread. The largest fire remains the Rowe Creek Complex, south of Fossil. It's burned 305-thousand acres and is 42 percent contained. The Second Flat Fire in Harney County has burned 100-thousand acres. It's 18 percent contained. The Akawa Butte Fire near sisters is 43 percent contained at 27-thousand acres.
