Casino Robber Sentenced To Federal Prison
(Portland, OR) -- A man who robbed the Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton in 2022 has been sentenced to federal prison. Javier Vigil handed the cash cage teller a note saying he wanted a million dollars. He pulled a gun, pointed it at the tellers and threatened them. He stole 69-thousand-dollars. On his way out, he fired at a security officer, who returned fire and wounded Vigil. A bystander was also wounded by a stray bullet. Vigil pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 years in prison and pay two-thousand-40 dollars restitution to the casino.
