(Sacramento, CA) -- California is sending more resources to help firefighting efforts in the Pacific Northwest. Twenty more fire engines and four rescue teams are on their way to Oregon and Washington. Officials say the deployments will not affect the state's ability to respond to local emergencies. Since July 16th, California has sent nearly 400 firefighters and 60 engines to help Oregon and Washington battle wildfires through a national mutual aid system.
