(Sauvie Island, OR) -- An investigation is ongoing after a body was found in a burning car on Sauvie Island Tuesday afternoon. Sauvie Island firefighters were the first responders on the scene to a vehicle fire on Northwest Lucy Reeder Road. After putting out the fire, they found a body in the car. Deputies responded and set up a crime scene. Detectives are conducting a death investigation with the Multnomah County Medical Examiner who will determine the person's identity and cause of death.
