Amtrak Seattle-To-Portland Service Suspended Due To Warehouse Fire

(Seattle, WA) -- Amtrak is suspending its Seattle-to-Portland service indefinitely due to a warehouse fire in Oregon. Amtrak says service between the cities will be disrupted until further notice. Some trains are still running between Seattle and Vancouver, and substitute bus service has been set up for some other trains. The 500 and 511 lines have been canceled completely, and service between Portland and Vancouver is nonexistent. Investigators are still looking into the possibility there might be human remains inside of the burned Centennial Mills building in Northwest Portland. The seven story building was gutted by fire earlier last week.
