(Corvallis, OR) -- Passage of Ballot Measure 114 three years ago in Oregon has resulted in more guns being purchasedn the state. The measure remains tied up in court, and if it does pass the legal challenges it won't take effect until 2028. Research at Oregon State University found 63-thousand additional background checks to buy guns were made after the measure passed. The new law could require expensive training and a permit to buy a gun.
