(North Plains, OR)  --  Washington County sheriff's deputies say it appears speed was a factor in a crash that killed one person near North Plains.  The collision happened around 11 a.m. yesterday on Northwest Zion Church Road near Gordon Road.  Deputies say Paul David Suryan of Forest Grove lost control as he rounded a curve and slammed into an oncoming semi-truck.  Suryan died at the scene.  The truck driver was uninjured.
