Explosives Drop Centennial Mills Water Tower
(Portland, OR) -- Work continues today to bring down the burned-up Centennial Mills building in Portland. Yesterday, demolition crews removed the metal water tower at the top of the building. Explosives were placed at the base of the water tower and, following a huge explosion, the structure fell into the seven story building. The concrete walls did not collapse, so now crews will begin work to bring down the building. They expect to have half of the building removed in about two weeks.
