Single Adult Needs Over $110K To Live Comfortably In OR
(Portland, OR) -- A single adult in Oregon now needs a six-figure income to live comfortably. A new study from financial tech company SmartAsset shows a single Oregonian now needs 110-thousand-74 dollars. That's up five-point-two-percent from last year. A family of four needs nearly 281-thousand. The study ranks Oregon as the seventh-most expensive state in the nation for those seeking a comfortable life. The analysis defines comfort using a 50-30-20 budget. Half goes to necessities, 30 percent to wants and 20 percent to savings or debt. Nationwide, the benchmark runs from about 81 thousand dollars in West Virginia, to 129 thousand in Hawaii.
