(Portland, OR) -- Naito Parkway in Northwest Portland reopened Friday at the Centennial Mills demolition site. Crews have broken the seven-story cement building down to ten feet. The east sidewalk, bike lane and parking lane remain closed. The Fields Park is also closed, until the area is safe from debris. An abatement contractor is working to deal with hazardous materials at the site. When that work is finished, Portland Fire & Rescue will be able to safely access the building to investigate the cause of the fire and the potential for human remains in the debris.
