35 Environmental Violations Issued To Nippon Dynawave Deadly Tank Collapse
(Portland, OR) -- The Washington Department of Ecology has issued 35 environmental violations to Nippon Dynawave in last year's deadly tank collapse. The department says the majority of the citations handed down were about the impacts of white liquor runoff into storm drains and the company's wastewater treatment system, with some bypassing the treatment before being dumped into the Columbia River. Eleven employees were killed in the tank collapse.
