Vote By Mail Court Fight
(Salem, OR) -- Oregon Attorney General Day Rayfield says the federal government has no business playing referee over who gets a ballot in elections. The Trump Administration is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to lift the order blocking the U.S. Postal Service's mail ballot rule. A federal judge is still considering whether to issue a preliminary injunction until the case goes to trial. Rayfield says it's the job of the Postal Service to deliver mail. States run elections. Oregon has joined 23 states in a lawsuit to prevent the President's executive order from taking effect.
