(Portland, OR) -- Motorists are being warned about the five-week-long southbound I-5 shutdown through Portland's Rose Quarter, which is scheduled to begin tonight. Officials with the Portland Bureau of Transportation and the Portland Police Bureau say motorists should allow extra time before hitting the road and to expect congested side streets as people look for alternate routes. The closure is scheduled for ten tonight.
