(Portland, OR) -- A former player, captain and head coach of the Portland Winterhawks has died. Brent Peterson was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2002. He started the Peterson Foundation for Parkinson's in 2009 to help enhance and support the lives of people with the disease. He played for the Winterhawks from 1976 to 1978, was a Memorial Cup-winning head coach, and a Winterhawks Hall of Fame inductee.
