(McMinnville, OR) -- Two people have been indicted in Yamhill County for using counterfeit 100-dollar bills to buy gift cards at Safeway stores across Oregon. Mark Melendez and Heather Fawcett face multiple charges. Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield says when counterfeiters flood the market with fake bills, it's small businesses already affected by inflation that pay the price.
