Bar Owner Sued Over Pandemic Loan
(Portland, OR) -- The owner of River Pig Saloon in Portland's Pearl District is being sued by the federal government over a pandemic loan. The lawsuit claims Ramzy Hattar got nearly 350-thousand dollars in Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster loans for his now closed bar in Eugene. The application used the address of the River Pig Saloon in Portland. He claimed the closed Eugene bar had 26 employees. The U.S. Attorney for Oregon has filed the lawsuit. Hattar could face over a million dollars in damages, if found liable.
