(Portland, OR) -- Two Portland police officers were injured Thursday while helping clear a homeless encampment near Northwest Flanders Street and 5th Avenue. Police say a man living at the camp became combative and assaulted the officers before being arrested. Both officers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while the suspect was taken to a hospital for self-inflicted injuries sustained after his arrest.
