(Eugene, OR) -- An elderly Eugene woman is out 80-thousand-dollars after accepting a job that turned out to be a scam. Eugene Police say the victim was recruited for a job rating apps by a person pretending to be from ZipRecruiter. She was then asked to deposit money with the company. After giving them around 80-thousand-dollars, she received about a thousand dollars in pay. Police connected the victim with support and urge others to learn from her ordeal. Never turn over personal information to someone you don't know.
