Portland State Faculty Union Votes To Strike

(Portland, OR)  --  Portland State University officials say they want to settle on a new contract with union members of its faculty.  The union voted yesterday morning to issue a ten-day strike notice.  Such a strike would be the first public university strike in Oregon history.  PSU and the union are set to resume negotiations today in an effort to reach an agreement on faculty pay and other issues.
