Oregon head coach Dan Lanning says all facets of the team are being evaluated including offensive play calling.

The coach previewed the matchup against the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday night.

“And we need to be better because we're about to play a really good Nebraska team, you know, obviously, gave Indiana everything that they could handle. They're playing really, really great on, defense, you know, very aggressive. They've a good tackling team. They don't give up long runs.”

Head coach JaMarcus Shephard is looking towards Washington State this week.

“They have a number of different players on each side of the ball that are emerging as impact players and most importantly I think they're playing some really, really, really good defense. Coach Moore and his staff, they do a really great job.”

COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

Oregon State delivered a historic performance at Reser Stadium Saturday Night, routing San Diego State 66-14.

Jesse Legree caught 10 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the first Beaver ever with six straight 100-yard receiving games. Quarterback Braden Atkinson threw for 409 yards and five scores, marking his sixth consecutive 300-yard game.

Head Coach Jamarcus Shephard after the victory.

“This is a right dead smack in the center of the middle eight of our football season. We're 6 games in, all right, and so, I thought, I thought we did a really good job of going into halftime, exactly how we wanted them to.”

Now 4-2, the Beavers host Washington State Saturday afternoon.

The Beavs received votes in this week’s Associated Press and Coaches Top 25 Polls.

Oregon falls from 13 to un-ranked in the latest AP poll, and hangs on at number 25 in the Coaches poll after losing to the number 21 and new number 12 UCLA Saturday at a stunned Autzen Stadium.

The 3-2 Ducks ended up benching back-up starting quarterback Dylan Raiola in the 4th quarter bringing in 3rd stringer Brock Thomas.

Head coach Dan Lanning said after the loss there was plenty of blame to go around for coaches and players.

“We were atrocious on 3rd down, right? We're, we didn't have any success on 4th down. Obviously, the, the very 1st touchdown, you could say, hey, go, you know, kick the extra point. You know, it felt like there was a look that we felt comfortable with. I have to go back and watch it and see why it wasn't there. But that could have been the difference in the game as well. So that's a decision that falls on me.”

Coach Lanning was non-noncommittal on who would start at quarterback this week, saying film will be evaluated, as will the status of Dante Moore’s concussion.

The U of O faces Raiola’s former squad the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday night.
